Dr. Carrie Childs is a graduate of Middlebury College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Upon graduation from vet school she worked for the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society for 5 years, serving as Medical Director for Philadelphia’s largest rescue partner and establishing a strong passion for animal welfare and the human-animal bond, a team-oriented approach to veterinary medicine, and surgery. Dr. Childs returned to Vermont in 2021 to further her love of surgery and enjoy the recreational and cultural offerings of the Green Mountain State.
Dr. Childs is an avid telemark skier and backcountry enthusiast, recreational cyclist, and inventive knitter. Her time is filled with adventures in child-rearing, dog and cat ownership, home renovations, and visiting amazing places.
